Terms of Service
Last updated: August 2026
These terms govern TeamRally Cards (cards.teamrally.app), the free group e-card tool operated by TeamRally ("we", "us"). By creating, signing, or opening a card you agree to them. The TeamRally workspace app is a separate product with its own terms.
What this is, and what it costs
Making a card is free. Not free-with-a-cap, not free-until-the-tenth-signer — there are no payment details to give us to make one, and signing, sending, chasing and opening stay free too. A digital copy of a finished card (a print-ready PDF and a video, $12) and branding ($19, covering every card you make for a year) are optional one-off purchases on a card you have already made; the section below says who sells them to you. We built this as the front door to TeamRally, so the honest exchange is that you might one day look at the paid product. You are never obliged to.
Who you are buying from
Making, signing, sending and opening a card is free and always has been. The two optional extras — a digital copy of a finished card, and branding — are sold through Creem, which acts as the seller of record. That means your contract for the purchase is with Creem, not with us: Creem takes the payment, issues the receipt, and handles refunds and any statutory right of withdrawal. We never see or store your card details.
Prices are shown in full at checkout. We are a small business under § 19 UStG, so no German VAT is added by us; any tax Creem is required to charge in your country is shown before you pay.
Withdrawal, and why a download can end it early
These are digital products delivered immediately. If you are a consumer in the EU you normally have fourteen days to withdraw from a purchase — but that right ends once delivery of digital content has begun with your express consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose it. Creem asks for exactly that consent at checkout, because a digital copy starts rendering the moment payment is confirmed. Until you give it, the fourteen days stand.
Refunds are handled by Creem and are not automated at our end. If something we produced is broken — a file that never arrives, a render that came out wrong — write to hello@teamrally.app and we will fix the file or arrange the refund with them. A refunded purchase revokes access to what it bought.
There are no accounts — your link is your key
Creating a card takes an email address and a code we email you; signing takes the personal invitation we email you. Those links are bearer links: whoever holds one can do what it allows. Treat them like keys, don't forward them, and tell us if one gets loose so we can invalidate it. A recipient's link refuses to open before the delivery date, so a leaked link doesn't spoil the surprise on its own.
Acceptable use
- Don't send anything harassing, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit, or otherwise unlawful. A card is something a colleague opens at work.
- Only enter other people's email addresses where it's reasonable for you to do so. Don't use the invite feature to send bulk or unsolicited mail — it exists to invite the handful of people who actually know the recipient.
- Don't upload or attach content you have no right to share.
- Don't impersonate someone else when you sign, and don't create a card designed to mislead its recipient about who sent it.
- Don't try to break, overload, scrape, reverse-engineer, or get unauthorised access to the service — including guessing at card or invitation tokens.
Messages, and who owns them
You keep ownership of what you write. You give us the limited permission we need to store it, show it to the card's participants, and deliver it to the recipient — which is simply what the product does.
The person who created a card can hide any message on it, before or after delivery. We also run automated profanity filtering and act on reports. We may remove content or take a card down if it breaks these terms, and we don't guarantee we'll spot everything — moderation is a backstop, not a promise.
Attachments from third parties
GIFs come from a third-party provider and are displayed from that provider's servers. We don't own, host, or vet that library, and a GIF can stop working if the provider changes or removes it. Attaching one is subject to that provider's own terms.
Delivery
We work hard to deliver a card on its date, in the timezone chosen when it was made. We can't guarantee it: email gets filtered, providers have outages, and addresses get typed wrong. For anything where the timing genuinely matters, check the card page — the status is there — rather than assuming it landed.
Availability and changes
We may add, change, or remove features, and we don't promise uninterrupted access. If we ever had to shut the tool down, we'd give notice and a way to get your cards out first.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including an undelivered or mistimed card. Because the service is provided free of charge, our total liability to you is limited to €50. Nothing here excludes liability that can't be excluded by law, including for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life or health.
Ending it
Stop using it whenever you like, and ask us to delete your cards at hello@teamrally.app. We may suspend or remove access if these terms get broken or if someone's use puts other people or the service at risk.
Governing law
These terms are governed by German law, with Hamburg as the place of jurisdiction where the law permits it. If you're a consumer, you keep the protections of your own country's mandatory law.
