Nothing here fits?
Name the occasion yourself — passed the bar, ran the marathon, new puppy — and pick the background art, an icon and an accent color to match.
Start a custom card →How a card with many signatures works
A group eCard is one card that a whole team signs separately. Here that means you start it, everyone else is invited by email, and the person it is for sees none of it until the day.
- 1
Pick a design and write first
The design is the cover the card opens from, so it is worth a minute. You write your own message before anything else — no account until you save.
- 2
Invite the rest by email
Each person gets their own private link — nothing to forward round a group chat, and no shared password that reaches the recipient by accident. You can see who has signed.
- 3
It delivers itself on the day
At 9am in the timezone you pick for them. The cover folds open and the card turns one page per signer, so each message gets the screen to itself.
What the design actually changes
The cover, and the mood of everything behind it. Each design carries its own palette, which the greeting, the message pages and the finish all take their colour from. Choose it when you start the card — it is not something to change halfway through, once people have begun writing against it.
The greeting is real text, not part of the picture. It sets over the artwork and you can move it, recolour it and change its typeface, with sensible defaults measured against each design so an untouched card still looks composed.
What every design gives the people signing. A choice of eleven handwriting styles and a colour that is checked for legibility against that design's background, plus room for one photo and one GIF on their message. Twenty messages read as twenty people, which is the only thing a group card has to get right.
Questions
- Can more than one person sign the same eCard?
- That is the whole point of one. You start the card, invite people by email, and each of them gets their own private link to write on it. Every message keeps its own page, its own handwriting and its own colour, so a card signed by twenty people reads as twenty people rather than one long thread.
- How many people can sign one card?
- Up to 100 invited signers per card, and there is no per-signer fee. Your own message does not count against that.
- Are the designs free?
- Every one of the 152 designs is free to use. Making a card, inviting people, collecting messages, delivering it and opening it are all free — there is no design that costs money and nothing to unlock. Afterwards you can optionally buy a digital copy to keep ($12, a print-ready PDF and a video of the finished card), or put your own logo, colour and typeface on every card you make for a year ($19). Neither is needed for a card to be made, signed, sent or opened.
- Do the people signing need an account?
- No. They get a personal link in an email, write their message, and that is the end of their involvement. No password, no download, nothing to install.
- When does it reach the person it is for?
- On the date you choose, at 9am in the timezone you pick for them rather than yours — which matters more than it sounds when the card is going to another continent. Until then their link refuses to open, so the surprise holds even if someone forwards it by accident.
- Can I see who has signed?
- Yes — the card has a page showing who was invited, who opened it and who has written something, and you can re-send an invite to anyone. If you set a date for signing to close, anyone still unsigned gets a short nudge three days and one day beforehand, twice at most.
