Online memorial and celebration of life invitations

When you are organising a memorial, the last thing you need is to chase replies. Share the date, the place and anything people should know, by email or a link, and see who is able to come. The designs are plain and quiet, and there is nothing festive about the invitation.

Memorial & celebration of life designs

Start from a drawn cover in your own colours, or one of these illustrated designs.

How it works

  1. 1

    Make the invitation

Pick a cover, add the date, the place and anything guests should know.

  2. 2

    Send it your way

Email each guest their own invitation, or share one link in the group chat. There’s a QR code too.

  3. 3

    Watch the replies

Going, maybe or can’t, with plus-ones and dietary needs, in one live guest list.

What to write

  • Please join us to remember and celebrate the life of Joan Hughes. Saturday 21 November at 2pm, St Mary’s Church hall. Refreshments afterwards.
  • A celebration of Raj’s life, with music, stories and the food he loved. Sunday at 3pm, at the family home. All who knew him are welcome.
  • We will gather to remember Linda on Friday at 11am at Hollins Hall. In place of flowers, donations to the hospice are welcome.
  • Join us online to remember Pat on Sunday at 5pm. The link is below, and you are welcome to share a memory.

Keep it plain

Who, when, where, and what happens afterwards. Nothing more is needed.

Flowers or donations

If the family prefers donations, name the charity on the invitation.

Make it easy to share

A share link lets the news reach people you don’t have addresses for, and a reply helps with numbers for refreshments.

Questions

Is it appropriate to send a memorial invitation online?
Yes, and it is increasingly common. It reaches people quickly, lets them reply without a phone call, and gives them the address and time in one place.
Does the invitation look celebratory?
No. Choose a plain drawn cover or one of the quiet sympathy designs: white lilies, forget-me-nots, a single tree, a candle.
Is it free?
Yes, for up to 100 guests.
