What to write

  • Ring in 2027 with us! New Year’s Eve, Thursday 31 December from 9pm at ours. Bring a bottle and your best countdown voice. Please reply by 26 December.
  • New Year’s Eve drinks at The Lantern, from 8pm until well past midnight. Plus-ones welcome. Let us know if you’re coming.
  • A quiet New Year’s Eve dinner at ours, 7:30pm on the 31st. Tell us about any dietary needs when you reply.
  • Team New Year kick-off: Tuesday 5 January at 4pm in the office, with cake and a look at the year ahead.

Send it before Christmas

Plans for the 31st are made early. Send the invitation in the first half of December with a reply-by date just after Christmas.

Run the potluck from the invitation

Add a who’s-bringing-what list (snacks, a main, something sparkling, something without alcohol) and guests claim one when they reply.

For work, make it January

Few people want an office party on New Year’s Eve. A New Year kick-off in the first week back gets more yeses and starts the year together.

Questions

Is it free to send a New Year’s Eve invitation?
Yes, for up to 100 guests: the invitation page, email invites, a share link, replies with plus-ones, dietary questions and the live guest list.
Do my guests need an account to RSVP?
No. They open the invitation from their email or the link, tap going, maybe or can’t, and that’s it. They can change their reply later from the same link.
Can guests sign up to bring something?
Yes. Add a who’s-bringing-what list and guests pick an item when they reply; they see how many have taken each item, not who.
Can I share it in a group chat?
Yes. Turn on the share link and post it in WhatsApp, Slack or anywhere else, or email each person their own invitation.
Can people bring a partner?
Yes. You decide whether guests can bring a plus-one, and how many.
